GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic. Glass fibres reinforce a resin matrix to create a strong, lightweight and corrosion-resistant material suitable for many water storage applications.

GRP does not rust, offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, can be insulated, and is available in modular formats. It is often easier to move into difficult locations than a comparable steel tank. Suitability and whole-life cost should always be assessed for the individual project.

Clearance is needed for assembly, connections, inspection and future maintenance.
